through Alaska State Drawing. We help you submit the application.
Spring Hunts: (April 1 - May 15)

December 5 of the previous year. During this season, bears leave their
dens and wander about in preparation for the mating season. Long daylight
hours are available, and weather conditions are unpredictable with rain,
snow, wind, and fog possible.
Fall Hunts: (October 25 - November 30)
State permit lottery applications due prior to May
31 of current year. During this season, bears leave salmon streams and
move to higher elevations, daylight hours are shorter, with cooler temperatures,
and unpredictable weather. This season is ideal for hunters seeking combination
hunts for both deer and elk.
Roosevelt Elk
(9 day permits - Late September, October and November)
Permits obtained through Alaska State Drawing. There are also some elk
hunt permits available by registering with Alaska Fish and Game in Kodiak.
Best hunting is available during and after the rut
with the elk moving about, usually at higher elevations. Boats are utilized
to spot the herd and to move near it. Then hiking and camping are usually
required. This is an aggressive hunt for those of you in good shape willing
to hike through lots of rugged terrain.
Sitka Blacktail Deer
(Up to 4 tags available for purchase - August 1 through
December 31). Best hunting is usually in October, November, and December.
Bucks usually remain high on the 2000 ft. mountains and good early season opportunities exist for the healthy hiker in August and September. As the weather gets colder in October, the deer start migrating to lower altitudes. The rut usually occurs in November. Almost all our hunters succeed within 2 to 3 days. By December, the snow has often driven the deer down by the beaches.
We offer fully-guided, one on one, fair chase hunts on Kodiak, Afognak, and Raspberry Islands. Most hunts are conducted out of our main facility at Port Vita on Raspberry Island, but you may also choose to hunt from other remote fully-equipped camp sites. Power boats are used to travel to and from different sites within our area, and to scout the miles of shoreline. Call for prices (which will depend on specie hunted and type of hunt requested). For an additional fee, we can often charter larger commercial style fishing boats with licensed Captains to expand our hunting areas and enhance our living accomodations.
Unguided deer and elk hunting is also available at the daily and weekly fishing package rates.
