In 1996, Kodiak Discoveries initiated a new working relationship with Ultimate Rivers, a rainbow trout and salmon fishing adventure company operated by Tom's longtime friend Rene Limeres. Rene is a wonderful gentleman and highly knowledgable flyfishing guide as well as being a magazine editor and co-author of the book Alaska Fishing. Rene leads several rafting trips each season in Western Alaska and Russia for world class rainbow trout fishing opportunities. Each year, some of our clients enjoy these trips with Rene, and he has brought some of his clients to Port Vita in late September to experience the excellent flyfishing for salmon and steelhead near our lodge or at fly-out campsites.
